Password Protected Directories in Hosting
All our Linux hosting come with an exceptionally convenient tool that'll enable you to protect any folder inside your account from unauthorized access with just two mouse clicks. When you log in to your Hepsia hosting CP, you will only have to navigate to the Password Protection section, to select the main domain or subdomain, to specify the folder that should be secured - the root folder or some folder under it, and then to enter the username and the password that have to be used to access the content in question. The feature will be active instantly, so in case you make an effort to open the folder/website, you will be prompted to input the login info. You could create or remove numerous usernames for the same folder, if required. If you check out the File Manager section, all password-protected folders will be shown with a small padlock icon.
Password Protected Directories in Semi-dedicated Hosting
It will take just a few mouse clicks to activate the password protection function for any folder that you have, if you use one of our Linux semi-dedicated hosting packages. We have an extremely helpful tool, that has a user-friendly point-and-click interface and which can be used by people without any experience. It's a part of the Hepsia Control Panel, which you'll get to manage your new account and once you log in and navigate to the Password Protection section, you will be able to select the domain or subdomain that needs to be protected and then the specific folder - either the primary folder or any subfolder under it. You will also see two boxes in which you will have to enter the login name and the password that will be needed to access the folder in question and you will be all set to go. By following the very same steps, you will be able to set up a number of login credentials for the same folder to give several people their own username/password. All secured folders will have a small padlock sign in the File Manager section.
