A catch-all mailbox receives email messages sent to non-existent email addresses under the exact same domain name. For example, a message sent to the misspelled suport@domain.com will go to support@domain.com if the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can get messages from buddies or customers who may have sent a message to your email address with a typographical error or to an out-of-date one, which they may still have, but you have already deleted. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be set up for such a mailbox. This is due to the fact that at a certain moment you may begin receiving spam messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding restriction implies that the spam will not be re-sent to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all email mailbox without any difficulty in case you have a hosting plan with us. The Email Manager in our in-house developed Hepsia Control Panel is fully featured, yet stunningly easy to work with, and it will allow you to enable different features, including the catch-all one, with only a couple of mouse clicks. All the email addresses that you have created will be displayed alphabetically in this section and next to each of them you’ll see a mini "Catch-all" logo. Clicking on it once will enable this feature, clicking on it once again will disable it. Since you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got another mailbox with this option activated or if you’ve got enabled email forwarding.

Catch-all Emails in Semi-dedicated Hosting

The in-house created Hepsia Control Panel that is included with each semi-dedicated server plan that we offer will allow you to create a catch-all mailbox without difficulty even if you do not have much web/email hosting experience. All you have to do to achieve that is click the catch-all icon, which will be on the right-hand side of each mailbox that you’ve created with your domains in the Control Panel’s Email Manager section. As you can have just one mailbox with this feature per domain, our system will inform you if you’ve already set up a different catch-all mailbox or if the one that you wish to use has email forwarding activated. In case you reach the decision that you don’t want this feature anymore, you can turn it off by clicking once again on the same icon. The Email Manager will also permit you to see your catch-all mailboxes at a glance.
